Date: Friday, November 29 Location: Sea Isle Park Q: River Rat PAX: Arcadia, Meche, Beats, Betty C The Thang: We warmed up with jack punches, smurf jacks, hinge and twists, and squat pulses. In honor of my 1 year FiA-versary, I took my first ever workout and revamped it a little. For each letter of the alphabet, we completed the exercise for 1 minute. We did not take a designated break between each letter/exercise in order to keep the workout moving quickly. After each vowel, we ran a lap around the senior center. The exercises were as follows: A- Alternating knee taps while in plank position B- Bridges C- Crisscross squat D- Duh, burpees E- Explosive power skips F- Full sit up G- Goblet squats H- Hollow hold I- Inchworm to pushup J- Jump Squats K- Kettlebell (dumbbell) swings L- Leg Lifts M- Mountain Climbers N- Nothing! 1 min. break O- Overhead press P- Push ups (Merkins) Q- sQuat with dumbbell toss R- Reverse crunch S- Scissor kicks T- Tricep kickbacks (straight arms) U- Upright row V- Vertical broad jump with back shuffle W- Walking lunges X- eXtreme bicep curls Y- Y-press Z- Zen pose of your choice I thought we would have time for sprints, but time did not allow. We stretched for 2 minutes, did count-o-rama, name-o-rama, and I closed us in prayer. I love this location and wish I could come every Friday!
